Sunday Running Peter Farrell will open up for train running on the second and fourth Sunday from 9am till noon. If you want to run long trains, Sundays are the day to do it!
Open Day Our next Open Day will be December 4th. Come along members and showcase your trains! General public welcome and entry is $10 for a family, $5 for an individual. Kids under 5 free.
We will not have any food available, but drinks can be purchased. Families and children (with a carer) are most welcome from 10am. We have plenty of parking. Note: We do not have wheelchair access, unfortunately. Buy/Sell Regular Members are encouraged to bring along trains and accessories on the open Day to sell. Please have prices labelled. A table will be provided near the kitchen - please label your items and supervise your sale items.
Layout News The new upper level USA section is a work in progress. Works have commenced on the upgrade of the European section and some delays in running can be expected shortly as scenery is removed ready for the new baseboard. Points are being wired and delays are occuring due to club closure.
The new section is currently being fitted and there will be train running disruption until lines are reconnected.
The On30 layout has new scenery at Cosham and Wolgan and the main line is operational for DCC. The main loop and reverse loop are operational. The O Gauge section will be operational shortly. HO trains can run on this layout too.
The N Gauge has had some scenery added recently as well as a return loop.
The G Gauge layout is being updated to a dairy theme, and a new loco is being purchased.
A Reminder... When completing using your locos, please use the Digitrax "Dispatch" function to ensure the main controllers are not overloaded with loco numbers resulting in down time resetting the layout. Most members use the DT 400 series controller, so if you hsve one of those here's a video guide on dispatching locos.
Large Consists We welcome members running longer trains, and the second and fourth Sundays of each month are the best days for that. When doing so, please be mindful of others as long trains on a busy layout can cause frustrations since not all members run trains at the same speed.
When you run your train into a siding or leave the yard, please returnthepointstothesamewayasyoufoundthem, so the train following yours won't end up on the wrong line!
Club Car A reminder to members is our Club car services are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Profits go to improving our layouts. Our Club car is not operational on Open Days.
Club Shirts We still have club shirts available in a few sizes. Ask at the club for details.
DCC Decoders The club has basic function, DCC decoders for sale, ask at the office.
We welcome new Members We always welcome new members and we have plenty of layout time for new N Gauge, G Gauge, Triang and On30 members. If you have trains for these layouts we invite you to join. Click here for our membership form
